Mark Montgomery currently acts as the Deputy Head of Mission for Irish Aid in Malawi. He brings over 20 years of professional experience on governance having previously worked as the Governance Policy Lead for Irish Aid and as Senior Governance Adviser at country level in Africa, the Caribbean and the Middle East with DFID and Trocaire. , has over 20 years of experience in research, advocacy and capacity development. She is the Executive Director of the Centre for Economic Governance, based in Nairobi (Kenya), and has provided technical support, capacity building and strategic planning and reviews to various civil society and public institutions. She has been supporting the establishment and roll out of interventions for the Civil Forum for Asset Recovery (CiFAR) in Kenya and Africa. Previously she worked with Action Aid in Kenya as Head of Policy and Women’s Rights and with World Vision on community development. She has a Master’s in Business Administration and also studied International Relations and Diplomacy.
