How-to guide on peer-to-peer (P2P) learning

May. 3, 2023

The “How-to guide on P2P Learning” is the fruit of a collaboration, whose initial objective was to pilot test monitoring, learning and evaluation tools, between the EIP and the Maarifa Centre of the Council of Governors in Kenya. The Maarifa Centre is the knowledge and learning hub of the Council of Governors (CoG), a Kenyan intergovernmental relations body that acts as a forum for sharing information about the performance of the Counties in the execution of their functions, with the objective of learning about and promoting best practice.

The “How-to guide” which was developed in the aftermath of the training of CoG staff on P2P learning offers practical steps and covers the full length of engagement from the design phase of peer-to-peer (P2P) learning to ensuring the continuation of exchanges after formal engagement has ended. It also covers the monitoring, evaluation and learning phase of P2P learning and includes two sample tools that can be tailored to the nature and partnership at hand.
